In present, we need more storage capacity because collect big data amount in day to day life. 10000+ laks of Face book connected people upload their data every day .So it will not be a small amount of data. Youtube service adds videos which can run about 72 hours in one minute. So data will not be small amount which is collated in every day. This all data has stored in hard disks which belong to server computer.

When we store big data amount on hard disks, we need large amount of hard dicks for doing that and if we use more hard disks, their power consumption can become high rate. Now system was found for cut off all unnecessary wastages. system is that store data on magnetic tape.

Fuji film company in japan and IBM company in Switzerland were discovered this amazing product. A tape has 2 cm width and 10 cm hight can store 35 Tb data amount. This data amount equal  to content of 350 laks general books.

We didn’t use this magnetic tape method in near past, but I think that now it will become top storage device in the world .we can see deferent  between 1980 technology and today magnetic tape technology. very small amount of power sufficient to run magnetic tapes than hard disks. Facebook,youtube,google companies cost more money for their storage. But  if they use this system their cost will reduce half. Because we can store data according to data priority in magnetic tapes and we no need to move all data for getting some specific data as hard disk.we can move part by part in this magnetic  tape method. That is the reason for power saving.

But this system has a problem, that is this system get extra time for search data than hard disks. However inventors were said that they pass hard time.
